Grandmaster Doc-Fai Wong, Ph.D., L. Ac. Grandmaster Doc-Fai Wong has been teaching martial arts in the San Francisco Bay Area since 1968 and is the president of the Plum Blossom International Federation of Choy Li Fut and Tai Chi Chuan. He is the personal teacher of the chief instructors of Eastern Ways®, Tai Sifu Hubbard and Tai Simo Molina. His teachers include the famous Lau Bun of San Francisco; Tai Chi and Wudang swordmaster Great Grandmaster Hu Yuen Chou; and Great Grandmaster Wong Gong of Choy Li Fut. In addition to martial arts, he also practices Oriental medicine and is a California state certified acupuncturist. He has been an instructor at San Francisco City College since 1974 and holds a doctorate in Allied Health Sciences.
Doc-Fai Wong is the author of the books, Choy Li Fut Kung Fu, Shaolin Five Animals Kung Fu, and Tai Chi Chuan's Internal Secrets. He is featured in Who's Who in California and is a recognized leader in American martial arts. Grandmaster Wong is the coach of the United States Tai Chi Push Hands Team and his team won second place in both 1987 and 1990 from the International Tai Chi Push Hands Competition in Taiwan. In 1991 he was awarded the Kung Fu Artist of the Year by Black Belt magazine. He has also been featured on the covers of martial arts magazines more than 20 times, and has written over 200 articles, as well as produced several books and videos. He has been a monthly columnist for Inside Kung Fu since 1986. Published in all of the major national and international martial arts publications, Grandmaster Wong is one of the most widely known, and highly sought after kung-fu masters in the world.
