Tai Simo Lekili Molina began her training at the very young age of 3. She began at a time that girls' participation was not commonplace in martial arts training. She is one of the few women who successfully competed in open martial arts competitions and consistently won first, second and third places. She competed against both men and women in sparring in a variety of competitions from the State Karate championships to the Long Beach Internationals and won countless first places including Grand champion.
Tai Simo Molina is the president and co-founder of the very popular Easternways Kidsafe® program. This program has been taught at public and private schools as well as exclusively for the Girl Scouts of Tierra del Oro. Thousands of girls have been taught awareness, safety and self defense in a positive and empowering way through her program making it one of the most respected and popular programs for girls and women alike. Tai Simo Molina is not only an accomplished Martial Artist she is a competitive dancer of Polynesian dance winning in many hula competitions including the Kauai Tahiti Fete of Kauai where she won first place. Tai Simo trains with Grandmaster Doc Fai Wong on a weekly basis in San Francisco while maintaining a teaching schedule consisting of private & group classes working with adults & children, and women and men. Recently, Tai Simo competed in the First World Traditional Wushu Festival, where she won a Gold Medal for her performance of a Choy Li Fut fan form, the only event she competed in. |
