Eastern Ways Fights Breast Cancer! October 18 and 19 was a big weekend for Eastern Ways® students and instructors- not to mention family! Eastern Ways held its annual Instructor's Exhibition on the 18th, followed by participating in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk the following day! The Instructor's Exhibition was a fundraiser for the walk; with all things accounted for, Eastern Ways raised over $3000 to help fight breast cancer! Contact your local Eastern Ways now to find out more! Eastern Ways® competes and wins! Over Labor Day weekend on August 30 and 31, Dai-Sihing Lendech, Asst. Head Instructor of the Elk Grove Eastern Ways® school, competed in the 1st Annual Chinese Martial Arts Championship in Las Vegas! He won many medals, including: 1st Place Fixed Step Push Hands, 2nd Place Restricted Step Push Hands, 3rd Place Spear Form, 3rd Place Broadsword Form, 3rd Place Staff Form. Ms. Farage of Fair Oaks and Mr. Greenstein of Elk Grove also competed. Ms. Farage won 2nd Place in Hand Form, 2nd Place in Fan Form, 2nd Place in Restricted Step Push Hands, 3rd Place in Fixed Step Push Hands. Mr. Greenstein won 2nd place in Dagger Form, and 2nd place in Sword Fencing. Eastern Ways Tournament! Eastern Ways®' annual Tournament just completed on July 19! This was the first year for all three schools to compete together, and it was a very exciting tournament! Thanks to Tai Sifu Hubbard and Tai Simo Molina for organizing and coordinating such an excellent tournament, and thanks to Mr. Dillman of Extreme Martial Arts, Roseville and Sifu Zai of Zai Martial Arts, Reno, NV for their participation and help!
