Eastern Ways Martial Arts® took a team of instructors and students to China from August 1-9 as part of the Plum Blossom Federation's celebration of the 200th birthday of Chan Heung, founder of Choy Li Fut, and to compete in a competition of martial arts.

The tournament was the Huajian Garden Cup Invitational International Tournament. The Federation team had 50 competitors, who won a total of 63 medals, including 45 Gold, 12 Silver and 6 Bronze. Eastern Ways instructors and students were a large part of the team, with 14 competitors winning 10 Gold, 5 Silver and 3 Bronze medals. Congratulations to all!
